John was based for the first 4 years of his career in Lincoln Inns Field, London at a medium sized Chartered
Accountants, Finnie & Co. The firm specialised in housing associations and John became an audit specialist in this sector managing audits of all sizes of organisations.
For over 25 years John held senior business and accounting roles both nationally and internationally for a
range of leading organisations such as Pearson Television and Fairfax Media (Sydney). At Pearson Television
John was responsible for integrating and streamlining two acquired organisations’ business systems, finance staff and management reporting into the Group.
As well as holding a business and commerce degree from Manchester University, John is an associate
member of the Chartered Global Institute of Management Accountants. In addition, he successfully
completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2024 and has a master’s degree in international
studies and research from the University of Technology, Sydney.
