Andrew was born in the Northern Territory, but his heritage is with the Dhanggati nation in Central New South Wales. For more than three decades, he has dedicated his architectural career to Indigenous housing and infrastructure working for Government, Not-For -Profit and Private organisations.
He currently operates Indij Design, a small architectural design practice on Dulabed Malanbarra Yidinji Country in Far North Queensland, with his wife Francoise. His work has taken him to remote communities throughout Central Australia, East Arnhem Land, South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland. This includes five years living in Alice Springs whilst working in remote communities and outstations, and eight years as a Program Manager for the National Aboriginal Health Strategy (NAHS) and Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH) Capital Works Programs.
A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects, Andrew is an active member of the Institute’s First Nations Advisory Committee and a First Nations Expert with the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia.
