Shane is a proud Aboriginal man with over 20 years' experience working across youth justice, child protection, and now Aboriginal housing. He’s passionate about creating culturally safe systems that support Aboriginal people, families and communities. From leading youth justice focused projects and initiatives, to shaping policy and programs in Child Protection and Out of Home Care and now Aboriginal housing, Shane brings a strong community voice and lived experience to everything he does. He’s currently with Aboriginal Community Housing Industry Association (ACHIA NSW), as Director Closing the Gap, Policy and Communications - driving Closing the Gap reforms to strengthen Aboriginal housing outcomes across NSW.
