Shaz McCullough
Statewide Program Manager
Aboriginal Housing Office
Shaz McCullough is a proud Wiradjuri woman and descendant of the Bundjalung Nation through her grandmother’s lineage. She grew up in the remote Central Western NSW and brings over 24 years of experience in the NSW Public Service, having worked across Health, Ageing, Disability, Community Services and HOMES NSW.
Shaz holds a Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management from Griffith University, a Graduate Diploma in Indigenous Primary Health Care from the University of Sydney, and a Diploma of Management. Her career has been driven by a deep commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with a strong focus on health and wellbeing and advocacy for “Closing the Gap” initiatives.
Her work is deeply personal—Shaz’s grandmother, Jean Little, was a member of the Stolen Generation and spent her first 14 years in the Bomaderry Children’s Home. Shaz carries her grandmother’s story with strength and purpose, striving to make a meaningful difference in the lives of First Nations peoples.
Outside of her professional life, Shaz enjoys spending time on the Northern NSW coast with her family, fishing and swimming—connecting with Country and community.
